Pekan ulangtahun Departemen Teknik Geologi FT UGM, yang tahun ini menginjak usia 57 tahun, kembali digelar dalam rangkaian acara yang disebut Geoweek 2016, tanggal 1 – 8 Oktober 2016.
Geoweek 2016 terdiri dari rangkaian acara yang meliputi Wall Climbing Competition, Talkshow 2016, International Geomapping Competition, Lomba Cerdas Cermat Kebumian (LCCK), Seminar Nasional Kebumian Ke-9 dan Gala Dinner.
Mengusung tema “Discovering Earth’s Nature”, diharapkan para geosaintis terus terdorong untuk terus menelurkan riset yang berkualitas serta mampu mewujudkan kemandirian energi yang selama ini menjadi cita-cita bangsa.
